"Several years ago Gran started a Christmas tradition of giving themed gifts. My theme was gifts of angels and Kyle’s was children’s Christmas books. She gifted him many of the classics over the years. They are too special to keep in the attic for 11 months so they live in the bedroom we have dedicated to children in foster care in our home. Right now we are caring for two brothers and one of them frequently pulls “The Polar Express” off the shelf to read at bedtime. We always think of Gran and say a prayer of thanks for the love she shared that we now pass on to these kids."
